How Do We Fund the Programs?

The Huntington Beach Union High School District provides the band program with a Band Director,  a small stipend for two additional coaches and the use of school facilities. Some funds are also provided for instrument repair and miscellaneous expenses.

The Edison High School Band Boosters Association, in partnership with the Band Director, supports the programs by raising funds and coordinating events. Each parent/guardian that has a student participating in the band program is a member of the Booster Club. The Director and Booster Board determine a budget for the year which includes but is not limited to, coaches, show design, music, props, instruments, transportation and truck rental. 

Additional funding is raised through family donations, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising events. In the event that we fall short of the funding needed to cover our expenses, we will determine which events to cancel to stay within our resources available.
